  1. Thank you so much for those encouraging words. I need to be more of a peacemaker in my home. I find your blog very helpful, inspiring, and encouraging. Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. Hi Sally,

What a blessing this post was to me today. Thank you for sharing from your heart. I really resonated with many of the things you shared and was challenged by others. Your book, the Mission of Motherhood is one of my all-time favorites that I recommend to all of my friends. Keep pressing into Him.

BTW, I also read your daughter’s blog (we are living in London currently – loved her England posts!) and enjoy it very much. I never sense perfection, just lives filled with His grace.

    Warmly,
    Joni

  3. Hey Sally
I think that your joyful posts and books about your family are great!! In Phil. 4:8 it says that we are to think of things that a lovely and pure, and noble (and the list goes on)…I think that God wants us to think about and write about these good things…when we dwell and live in the positive, then our hearts and minds think of such things as well…Thank-you for encouraging us to be joyful and peaceful! And thank-you for sharing with many readers!
    Susanne

  4. Sally, my sister-in-law has a little framed saying on her kitchen counter top it says, ‘Who and I trying to please, anyway?’ At first I thought it was kinda cheeky.

When I asked her about it she said it helps her to remember to do all as unto the Lord. It helps her remember that she keeps a clean house (or not depending on the day :o) to please God and not man.

Some days she spends more time reading and teaching her twins and the house goes uncleaned. On these days she remembers ‘who she’s trying to please’

I like that, and need to find something like that for my own kitchen counter.

Thanks for your words. God has given you the gift of encouragement. Bless you for using it. You have encouraged me today.

  5. Dear Sally,
Thank you so much for your godly insight and encouragement to me as a homeschooling mom. Please continue this beautiful online ministry! I look forward to your next book!
